Root Chakra explained

You will know them by their fruits.

This chakra’s role is to connect all of your physical, bodily energy with the Earth itself. In other words, this chakra ‘grounds’ you. Your root chakra is also linked to everything you need to survive. This includes the act of breathing, eating, sleeping, and experiencing physical security.

The Indian modality of Chakras “is a profound philosophical system that represents the levels of consciousness. So it’s the map to the architecture of your soul.” — Anodea Judith

When your root chakra is balanced, you experience deep peace. A New Testament corollary would be Matthew 6:25–34 regarding worry and anxiety.

The root chakra deals with basic trust. When one is in a chronic state of worry or anxiety about the future—and who isn’t when one watches ‘news’ that is funded primarily by pharmaceuticals with death almost always listed as a side effect—it’s impossible to be productive. Myself included.

I suspect most people are dealing with a lack of basic trust ranging from chronic to extreme. I can’t think of a single Church that doesn’t promote Jesus as a cure for chronic anxiety or as a father figure that one can cast their cares upon. I encourage it even though I personally don’t believe it any longer.

Why? Because if you believe with your whole heart, then go with that. Go with what makes you feel good, feel better because that works for you.

For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Mark 11:23

You’ve got to believe and if you have an iota of disbelief, then I encourage you to sit down and look at why you disbelieve. Spell it out, parse it, deconstruct it, keep at it until you can reduce it to its core patterns.

Beware though that you don’t need to pray about it, mention it at Bible study, talk to your pastor, go to church, or perform any action at all. Ask and you will receive. Note the verbiage: ask. You can go ahead and get on your knees if that’s what you think will help, but really, just keep it simple: ask.

I’ve asked for wisdom many, many, many times. I’m specific about what I want to know about. Most times I’ve asked why I can’t trust and let it go. I’ve received answers in minutes, hours and days.

And I honestly don’t think the answers came from God, per se, they just came and it was so cool to see how creative the Universe/Source answered me. My requests almost always take the form of “Tell me…_________”. I believe and leave it at that.

So, if something is bugging me, I tend to let it linger and see what I can do about it. And that’s counter-productive. As soon as I’m aware that I’m holding on to stuff, trying to figure out the how—when I’m aware of this pitfall I immediately stop and ask “Tell me what do about ________” “Tell me how to solve the problem of ________”. And then it just comes to me.

It works every time. I solve a lot of problems this way, ranging from the mundane everyday stuff to the deep, life-changing such as how beliefs work.

Lately I’ve been asking how to balance my root chakra because when that’s balanced, the potential is there to have my voice heard (Throat chakra).

Chakras simplified.
