Sounds like he got around to reading How Beliefs Work where I explain that sin is believing you were not made 'like God'. When you believe that, you believe the whole world is damaged, a hellscape. The Church has done a superb job of perverting Genesis 3:1-5 into the world's oldest, most successful business model: perform this action in order to achieve/receive what you already are/have.

We all know it as fear. When Dr. Bruce Lipton discovered that beliefs (feelings and associated thoughts and actions (behavior)) are transferred genetically during the grandmother's pregnancy, he found that 70% of genetic expression (beliefs=behavior) is negative. It's fear-based.

Not only has the Church assigned that to God, they've used it to justify murders and massacres, re-animating epigenetic expressions that are thousands of years old. Judaism, Islam, Christianity—the 3 Abrahamic religions—are epigenetic expressions of the most fucked-up epigenetic action one can do: murder.

If you're anti-abortion because of your religious beliefs, you need to reject the epigenetic expression of your religion. Wait, did you even read what Abraham wanted to do!? When you think about murdering your own child and it becomes a religion, that's epigenetics. That's the all-time Jedi mind-fuck. Whatever you believe, you become.

God will never intercede, that's what humans are for. The root of murder and violence is thinking you don't have something, not recognizing that all things are possible, that with a little patience and lots of effort, you can create your vision rather than murdering to steal another person's wealth.

You are perfect. Believing otherwise is the root of all evil. Jesus was murdered. He doesn't save you from anything. He's not coming back, either.

Love bears, believes, hopes, endures all things. Love never fails. Love is the ultimate expression of what it means to be human. It's the only thing that can turn your anger into joy, create life from ashes, and move mountains.
