The Advocate references Jesus Christ Superstar, the play and the movie that came out in 1973. I'm reminded of the song lyrics, specifically "Jesus Christ Superstar/Do you think you're what they say you are?" and repeatedly singing, "Don't you get me wrong" and "Only want to know".

Jesus (God, Buddha, Mohamed) is whoever you want him to be, not what the religious authorities say because they're interested only in their brand of social, economic, and political control. All you have to do is believe outsourced beliefs, then instantly you physically manifest that in your body, which then changes your perspectives about everything else.

We witness this process throughout the Bible, in the subjects you cover in this excellent article, and in every day interactions with other people. Everyone is telling us every single waking moment who they are, what they believe, but nobody ever tells you why they believe what they do.
